Ltd primary production are Kendo products from Shinai, Bugo, Keiko Gi, Hakama, Tenugui, Tsuba, and more. Sankei Co. Ltd has about 300 wholesale stores in Japan and provides Shinai for a lot of the well known stores throughout Japan.
In beginning of 2004, the shinai demand in Japan was close to 1 million units, and during that very year, Sankei sold 340,000 units covering one third of the total Shinai market in Japan. This proves that the quality of Sankei's Shinai are not only excellent quality but stable, and well known.
In 2006, Sankei Australia was established, and the website www.zen-sankei.com.au was created to collect orders from Australian Kendoka eager to purchase Sankei products. With the increase in popularity, in 2008, Sankei International was established to cover international sales with virtue offices in U.K, Europe, Asia, South Africa, Oceania (Sankei Austalia), America, and Latin America, using www.zen-sankei.com.au as the point of contact for online purchases. All products purchases from our website will notify our HQ in Japan for preparation and delivery. It creates the perfect storage condition for Shinai storage. The shinais are made in controlled stages where carefully selected bamboo are dried and cut into 4 pieces for assembly, and then shaped, balanced, waxed, and inspected by our Japanese quality control staff before SSP seal approval for retail sales. Sankei only sells Shinai that passes our strict quality inspection criteria.
As Sankei makes shinai for other Kendo brands in Japan, for certain high grade Shinai, our customer requests for the highest quality marking. Sankei uses a CNC laser engraving machine to meet our customer's standards. The same CNC laser engraving machine are used to engrave bokutou, and tsuba. Our engraving capability is limitless.
